Unsure about the patches, they should only take about 20 minutes I think if you're far behind.

I left WoW downloading (Disc 2 of the hybrid discs wouldn't boot on my mac ) from the official site from about 12am, and it beeped me at about 6am. Then I just left it running on the patches while I was at work and all's good after that.

Auth' code shouldn't be a problem, I'm sure it's just the log-in account you really need. Don't quote me on that though.
