Its same with ringing in for absences.

At my college, if you get EMA you have to get your parents to ring in after 3 absences in any given term. However, on rare occasion you live alone, or, more likely (and fairly often) someones parents are away on holiday.

    It is pretty stupid though.
    Doubt everything, even this.

No it actually says on the form, created by the college that you have to be over 19 to sign it yourself. I'm sick of college treating us like kids lol. I've walked out like 3 times already and the convinced me to come back part-time so I now have a job and go to college part time.

What do you suggest I do because I want to go on the trip but there's no way I'm asking my mum to sign it because I don't agree with it lol. I'm 18 and can make up my own mind.

It should be 18, it seems very strange that you're being asked to do that when you're over 18... :S

and out of all these things i've done

Hmm, they must be very strict then lol. You could always sign it yourself if it's the old 'I give my "capeable" child permission to go on the following trip.'

At my college, if you tell them you are 18 (and if you really are), they will start posting all the letters to you instead of "Parents / Guardians of {Name}"
So you should be allowed to sign your own consent forms.
