Personally i wouldn't let ur cousin work out, as someone has said it isn't good for you and stunts ur growth.

There's no evidence to support that theory.^
It is good for you as it increases your stroke volume and makes your heart work harder than normal.
There are only benefits to be gained.
I'm 16 and recently just hit 6" in my last weigh in i was; 14st 3lbs at 14.2% BF. I've been lifting weights since I was 13/14 and have never regretted it since. I'm on my bulking season at the moment because rugby has finished. When i get back playing i'll probably be about 13st 10 at 12%
People like Arnie started when they were only 13, he has grown to be about 6"1, 6"2
Try lifting coconuts![]()
First of all, anybody who says that weightlifting stuns your growth is just an idiot. This is a pure myth. Look at some of the bodybuilders, they are 6ft + ..
Secondly only let your cousin lift what he can. You don't want to strain his musles at such a young age. I would suggest keeping him away from the glare about protein shakes and supplements as it will make him obsessed like I was.
Thirdly, lifting weights is a great way for you to get in shape and gain some muscle at the same time. Make sure you do it properly and don't take advise from somebody the size of Ronnie Coleman as he will be on steroids
A little bio for you:
I've been lifting weights since I was around 13 and in that time I have made great progress. I'm much stronger and much bigger that I even intended to be. My routine was made more so that I could be stronger and still get muscle gains.
Eat a good diet and lots of calories to beef you up and you'll be fineGoodluck. Pm me if you need anymore advice!
Back for a while.
I started weights at 11/12 i'm now 6ft 3, so sorry weights don't stunt your growth. Also I wouldn't recommend supplements, i've never thought about taking them because tbh, you should be able to gain muscle without supplements.
I heard body building at a young age is bad. :/ I don't do it and I'm fine. I'm in good shape actually lols.
I'm not into big massive muscles or anything lols. Too emo for that, as my best friend would say O___o

though to be fair only a few inches of your height are dependent on your livelyhood, the rest is pure genetics. There's no evidence to support that theory.^
