www.bing.com is simple to go to sure but I hate the intro and the search results layout. Yahoo, I don't want to type http://uk.search.yahoo.com/ everytime I want to go to there search engine or go to yahoo.com to find it. Again I don't like the results layout as much.

Now Google, we've used it for years, it is integrated into millions of peoples mind and young children when they are told to use it in schools. It becomes your 'only' SE because it does what it needs you to do. Simple and gives you many options. The years Google have to peoples minds, Bing and Yahoo will never have. End of.

A test to those who still are unsure. Ask yourself if you had to use a search engine what would you type into your address bar?
That's the case now, but believe it or not there was a time when google was the fledgling startup and Yahoo was the dominant force. There was also a time when windows and internet explorer had tiny market shares in their respective markets, now look at them! Just because Google is the most popular now, doesn't mean it always will be

Well they would either have to make a big difference because at the moment it is like a human default SE. Like said earlier, people always say 'Google it' because it has stuck with us for years. So Bing/Yahoo would need to think something good up, I find that hard because I don't want anything else other than what Google provides.
