Dom, Ryan did change the value to "unvalued" as soon as he got online. And also, people with access to the forum would have seen it in the Habbo Uk news and rumours section.

It was changed at like 8:30pm and is now "unvalued" and has been put in categorized rares section for now, after me and luke posted it in the thread.

The best comparison I can draw here is "Coffee is hot".

In America, there was a woman who spilt her coffee in her lap and got burns on her legs. She contended that since she wasn't told the coffee was hot, she was entitled to damages. She won, but that's just because America is crazy.

In essence, there will always be a situation that Habbox cannot be 100% on top of. When you make a purchase, in the real world too, you have a responsibility to be informe to at least a certain degree. When people go around hawking something that's supposedly extremely rare, you should be at least a little suspcious. On top of that when prices are varying so widely I would hope that alarm bells would go off and Habbos who didn't know what the hell was going on would just not buy it instead of saying 20HC that sounds good!
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

Rare Values sometimes take a while to update simply because we can't pluck a number out. As a rare values reporter Im sure you would know that we have to wait and collate the values reported rather than just changing the value simply because its been released.

In regards to news, sure we could have been quicker off the mark and I'm sure due to this feedback in future we will be. However first and foremost, surely Habbo should be blamed before a fansite, as I see no news report from them? Habbo should always be regarded as a more official and trustworthy news source surely! If they haven't got anything on the front page mentioning it then I blame Habbo.co.uk for the scammin' occuring. Shame on Habbo, shame on them.

    Just my two cents.
I know it is largely habbo's fault Sam! Just I do also think that at the time o the release there MUST have been a General Manager, Elle or a News Reporter online!

I know Habbox can not be used to absoulutely use as a bible, however at the end of the day, there is no denying it is.

I do indeed know Habbox does not, beng a trialist Rare Value Reort I am aware of that
But I think Assistant RVM, News Reporters, or a General Manager (assistant) - atleast oneof the but have been online

On another note, I don't think it was a very smart move on Habbo's part. Before it was released, there were only 5 on the hotel. I'm fairly sure the 5 owners were furious when it was released. Doesn't look good for the rare. Yesterday it was 200+ HC's and next week it will be 0.5-0.2.
Don't wrry Ryan, I am not blaming you at all - the fact you live the other side o the world I would never blame you for it!

I personally think Habbo should indeed re-look at this, as it was a ludicrous move by habbo.

P.S. It is not that I got scammed (as i didn't ), but thousands of users, use habbox!

Even if they were online I don't really see the point. It's not their job to do it, it's Rare Value Management. AGMs have their own roles as do News Reporters, you're imagining an ideal world where everyone helps each other. Unfortunately, the world nor Habbox is quite like that

tbh its habbo who should make sure things like this don't happen, but tbf, they don't care as rare values are nothing in their eyes. Surely you got the red gothic fountain for way under its habbox price value? which in my eyes would build up majour superstition.

yeah when people are jumping around like "selling red goth fountain 15hc" you'd be suspicious especially when there are tens if not hundreds of people doing the same thing.

This is exactly the same as when the Green Woolly Pillow was released at stupid o'clock early one morning for half an hour or something. I remember logging on that day and seeing everyone selling them. Those of us with a brain cell worked out it's likely these are no longer Supers so we'll keep our Thrones in our pockets thanks very much .

people are just trying to be greedy and make profits!! both those who were selling knowing it was released, trying to make big bucks and those buying trying to get a bargain to sell on for the price they thought it was. that's where greed gets ya!
