    Default Red Gothic Fountain

    Hey,

Just posting to say I think the reception by Habbox over the Red Gothic Fountain being released has be appalling. The ammount of users that have been effectively scammed tonight, due to not realising that it had been released.

I mean where was the News Report telling users? Surely a management member could change the value - I mean management with green usernames MUST surely have access to the RV Panel?

I haven't been scammed thanks to this, however many users have been and sorry but in my opinion considering the ammount of users who rely on habbox, the service was shocking.

Habbox can't be held responsible for people getting scammed. If people want to make a trade then its up to them to try and investigate the situation, rather than purely rely on what Habbox may or may not say.

Rare Values sometimes take a while to update simply because we can't pluck a number out. As a rare values reporter Im sure you would know that we have to wait and collate the values reported rather than just changing the value simply because its been released.

In regards to news, sure we could have been quicker off the mark and I'm sure due to this feedback in future we will be. However first and foremost, surely Habbo should be blamed before a fansite, as I see no news report from them? Habbo should always be regarded as a more official and trustworthy news source surely! If they haven't got anything on the front page mentioning it then I blame Habbo.co.uk for the scammin' occuring. Shame on Habbo, shame on them.

    Just my two cents.

I don't think anyone is to blame for this. People who are trying to get a bargain have to remember the phrase "there is no such thing as a free lunch" being Rare Values Manager is by no means an easy job and if you were constantly making the changes people wanted you too, you wouldn't have time to go for a slash.

    Give the department some slack.

Theyr'e not being scammed, scamming is where you've lost something for nothing. They're being ripped off - and that isn't Habbox's fault either. Habbox doesn't have a Rare Value Manager (or whoever it is that changes results) on 24/7.

plus the fact habbox rare values are only a guide >: ) used to love using that argument on people "NOBODY USES IT AS A GUIDE THOUGH" "if they think it's that accurate and trust worthy then it's up to them - i'm glad the majority are happy"

    fool proof

I do think it would be a good idea, to maybe take the value out for the particular rare, or highlight it in red to warn people that it has been recently released.

as soon as the rare values manager has time he'll move it to the right section and alter the value though, it's actually more effort to warn people. i don't think it's a case of them not knowing the value and waiting it's more of a case that the rare values management are merely humans, not robots. people would do well to remember that. they are normal teenagers like myself and you.

Even if people want to act like sheep, trading isn't scamming. Besides what can the Rare Values department do? Until the item in question is traded at a lower value, its value remains the same. The most you can get immediately is the item being moved from the Supers section to Normals section but it would still hold its displayed value until a significant amount are traded for a certain value.

Exactly, I'm 5 hours behind the UK. Once I came home at 3:30ish my time, its already 8:30pm in the UK and I moved it once I got on the computer after being spammed by multiple staff members. A little info why it was a bit late being changed.

On another note, I don't think it was a very smart move on Habbo's part. Before it was released, there were only 5 on the hotel. I'm fairly sure the 5 owners were furious when it was released. Doesn't look good for the rare. Yesterday it was 200+ HC's and next week it will be 0.5-0.2.
