Although i know its probably hated in the UK thanks to top gear or because its a crap company, the (Vauxhall) Vectra is pretty good. I drive it, i like how it isn't a big car and not a small car.
my first car was peugeot 307 but had to sell it due to other commitments
i miss my car, im getting new car soon but not sure what to get as need something cheap as will only be using it about 100 days of the year.
1.6 honda civic vtech hatch. bought for 400. decent wee car for the money like!
Don't, whatever you do, get that Mondeo. All of them have a broken back bumper, they're horrible to park and drive! Start off with something small, like a Fiesta, Corsa, Saxo etc. I'd suggest something that isn't too old, as you can get pretty good deals. For example, an '03 Fiesta for less than £2,000 (last I checked). Not too flashy, but not cheap as chips
Oh, and I got a 5-door Fiesta mk5 with a 1.4 petrol engine. Very nippy, nice space and good on petrol. It was £4,500 when I got it (years ago mind you), so it will be alot less now. It's worth thinking about, all the cars in that era ('03 Corsas etc) are pretty good, not hard to fix and come with some pretty good things inside.
