No, you don't put a dot because that's breaking the rules.

I don't see why you need that extra 'f' in lmao. The point is still clear without it.

I don't really think they should be unfiltered at all, and I still don't get why saying lmao with an f is in any way better then just saying lmao. It would be classed as avoiding the filter because the letter represents a swear word. If we unfiltered it, then that rule would become very unfair as it would apply to some things but not all, then we would have to restrict how you can and can't avoid the filter and it just becomes an unecessarily large effort just to allow people to say things that can more than easily be covered by saying things that aren't filtered.

They aren't swear words, they're abbreviations. Old ladies and grannies may say so, but they're not They're perfectly acceptable, with alot of cultures changing the F from a the swear word to something like flipping. Heck, alot of people who don't swear use them :/

I'd like to be able to use "fml" but I agree, lmao is fine without the f

It will probably be added, and there's no promises it will be more lenient, we're just going to go over it and see if there is anything that can be removed. There's no guarantee that anything or many will be removed.

it's so bizarre how you can genuinely think these words will cause issues but it's your decision.

I don't mind if they're filtered or no - that isn't my decision. However, if Sam and Forum Management believe it's fine then that's cool because they run the forum. I'd like to see them unfiltered, I've made that clear, I don't see why these words should be restricted. Like I mentioned Habbo have always allowed these words (even before the uplift of their filter) because they're not used to create a negative atmosphere.

Ok if you want to play at me with words to try and insult my intelligence i will happily explain something to you that happens in the mind of children.

Then why do they say those words? Because they look pretty? No, they say it because they want to emphasise their words and look clever because they added a swear word in the middle. If these words were not categorised as swear words nobody would bother using them, it is because they are people use them. They also do it because it's a way around not saying the 'big norty word', it again is simply to get around it and look good about it.
If you wanted an abbreviation to imply laughter you can use those that are perfectly overrated already and are not considered 'norty'.

And what do you have to prove that i made up 'things' in order to aid my suggestion, it's fact.

GommeInc: I know they are abbreviations, but they have the purpose to relate to swearing otherwise people simply wouldn't bother using them. I just don't see why you need to intend to swear in a word, especially on a forum, in real life that's different (bar certain circumstances of course).
