I get your point Jake, and bothmy parents do work. My mum works half time and is back at like 12 somedays and 2 others. It'll give her an insight to get out walking the dog instead of sitting there watching TV. She said she wants to lose weight aswell. Also when I get bak from school I just get bored and I always pay my cats loads of attention and would do the same with a dog.

It's easy to say you'll walk your dog now. Think about when it's raining and freezing, will you want to take him/her out then? I know I don't.

Yeah I was thinking that, and tbh my mum needs to be really into getting a dog for it to actually have a happy life. So until I persuade her enough or get her on my side I think its a no no

Yeah like for our dog my step mum always wanted one and then my dad got her one. That way they both wanted one and always take him out, buy him stuff, give him so much attention. I've figured they give the dog more attention that me and my (step) sisters.

My auntie shes the one that always wanted a dog and shes the reason they're so healthy and well looked after. If I'm the only person thats into it then it's not gonna give that dog a good life. I still want to try persuade her though.

Thanks for shedding the light jakey x

    I miss having a dog =[

They do take a lot more time to look after than a cat, but if you only get a small dog (cocker spaniel ftw) then they don't need as much exercise as a large dog. If you like a dog giving you lots of attention, then you will LOVE a cocker spaniel. They will follow you all over the house. Bit annoying when you go the the bathroom though!

When we got our dog, my dad was against it. So my mum went and got a puppy and my dad instantly fell in love with her
