I think what your suggesting is acutally a good idea, it would take a matter of seconds and would only make the message easyer to understand for competely new people.

Yeah, if I saw HB I'd think Habbox Database
I do agree with these small changes actually. I've never seen it for HxF, but on other forums which I use you do get the odd person saying "what is a thread?" and "how do I reply?"

A link to a guide would be the best idea, shortening that big welcome essay too

Ofcourse on the forum it will be called threads etc, but just in the intro it might be an idea to change it to make it clear for new people.

Same haha, didn't want to sound too nerdy though

If nobody knows how to use a forum, then surely they wont know how to use a bulletin board.. since it's the exact same thing, just different words.

So they would still be asking how to reply because they don't know how to use the software.

Everybody on here at one point, never knew what a forum or a thread was. You just learn the ways of the internet

I think you should leave it a forum... no point changing something that doesn't need to be changed. Although the Habbo UK needs changing.

Yep Saurav is right, the amount of people we get in HxHD asking about Habbox and HxF is quite alot, most of them don't have a clue. Some of them think it's your habb opass and stuff lol.

I like this idea. It could be so simple as to just be a 3 stage graphic showing the process up and online, and wouldn't be especially difficult to do.
Ex-janitor. Might pop in from time to time, otherwise you can grab all my information from http://jamesy.me.uk/

As I said in my original post a guide is being drawn up of not only how to register but how to use the forum.

I'm then going to have the "Welcome PM" re-written and the guide link added into it

"Forum" and "Discussion Board" don't mean anything either way. It's nitpicking. Leaving it as forum and having "blah blah to discuss Habbo and other things" kinda makes it obvious that a forum is place to discuss, and mentioning threads would mean you discuss things in them.

EDIT: A colourful guide would be nice.

Also, calling this forum a Habbo USA or Habbo USA related forum is gut wretching, we speak proper English here, not of this favor, color, rumor crap. Habbo.com is fine though.
