That was kinda my point. Sometimes it feels like they just use me to do their chores. I'm not bothered if they ask me to clear the table or something once in a while, but honestly right now they ask me to do everything - hence this thread.

I know this thread makes me sound like a lazy ungrateful **** but it annoys me so much when they expect me to drop everything to do something that my brothers could do. - That's the other thing, they always ask ME, not my brothers.
It is unfair that you have to do it all the time. Imo you should take turns if you have to do chores or all work together so one day you wash the dishes whilst your brothers do something else and then they do the dishes whilst you do something else.

    you are so ******* right
they make you meals, pay for your school stuff or whatever. you must be the luckiest slave on earth!
& i do EVERY chore in my house. i do my brothers washing/clean his room, hoover/iron/shopping and also make supper most days because my mum and brother aren't capable of it and i'm okay with that. if it bothers you so much why don't you tell them it's unfair instead of ******** like a little baby. you're gonna have to do it one day anyway.

eurgh. it's ******* house chores, not like your dads coming into your room at night and asking for those kind of chores.

be grateful with what your family have given you, and PAY YOUR RESPECTS by doing the simplest of tasks which they ask of you. it's not like they're asking for you to pay rent or anything. your 'rent' is essentially helping around the house, because afterall, by living somewhere, you should help around as common curtsy.

yes, they should. have you ever seen that show, young dumb and living off mum? thats what people that dont do chores end up like. lazy, ungrateful and spoilt. you cant expect everything to be handed to you on a plate, cos if you think this is bad wait until you go off into the real world on your own, and spoilt kids who dont do chores struggle in life.
    you can be my daddy

Yeah I have to do it one day, I realise that, but then surely I should be allowed to spend my days doing more productive things now.

I think that is a brilliant song. So yes, I do think that parents should make their children do ''chores''.

i'd class doing chores and thus keeping the house in a nice state is pretty productive... unless you feel playing games, being on hxf etc. is more productive eh?
