I disagree. I like to think of the Habbox Announcements section as a log rather than a thank you section. Once you start thanking individuals, favourtism will undoubtably show through and people will get heated about that too. Imagine what Alex3213 would feel like when I get thanked way more than him, etc... !!

Agreed here. and YOU'RE SO MODEST. Unless there's a promotion for certain work, is it even necessary to have extra detail?

It's far easier to keep things the same for everyone and offer your own personal goodbye in the congratulations and thank you forum.
I know you didn't, but I could see any other reason for not personalising them a little Perhaps even 'Blah has been with us since 00/0000'

Also, no matter how normal you make them users still get their knickers in a twist over it :L Just look at a certain ex DJ, who I think is a dj again now lol

This is why I'd disagree, as it's been said announcements really are a record and anybody who wishes to share a more meaningful comment can do it in congrats/thankyous. Knowing this place it's guarunteed to cause arguments

Also I think it would be a bit unfair for a staff member to have more things said than another ect.

like others have said, the thread's are merely announcing a change or an event, if people wanna go into more detail there is a forum for that.
it would be unfair (as previously mentioned) when someone who's been here for ages gets this massive thread and then a new staff member gets a few words, i think a uniform system looks far better.

I think it's sort of a part of Habbox tradition to do a sort of formal announcement as managers do for staff.

This is exactly why when I was management if people like you returned I would say something beyond robotic. I think I was the only person to do such announcements at the time:

I think it would be possible to vary the structure of the sentence but I disagree with the history and blah blah blah of it due to someone getting more thanks than another = BIG TROUBLEZ. Most management reply in the Congrats & Thank you's anyway just to give their thanks and tell the 'resignee' (lol that's not the word but I can't remember it ) what they've accomplished.
