you mean until it's too late you refuse to change it
No, I mean until the Doctors have a reason. Right now they have no indication what so ever that I am in anyway at risk from any disease related to my diet. If they find that I am at risk of a heart attack or something then I will change. But I'm not, so why should I? I've been perfectly health for 11 years without eating the '5 a day' without any problems whatsoever. I say 11 years because that's when I remember first being fussy about what I eat. My mum says when I was a baby I used to enjoy stuff that I hate now. But I first remember being fussy when I was about 4 so it's about 11/12 years.

i'd love to say i do but i don't. swap meat/fish/eggs/beans with bread/rice/potatoes/pasta and you have me. i like to try lots of different foods and not have too much or too little of anything. i rarely eat sugary snacks, usually just nuts, fruit or yoghurt etc so i'm pretty good in that aspect. it's hard to eat healthily what with foods having extra salt, chemicals, sugar etc put in D: most the time i refuse to eat anything that's not organic or has a huge list of ingredients, some days i won't eat anything except a piece of fruit and homemade soup just to be safe which i don't think is particularly healthy either. i can live on just the fruit and soup most days tbqh but i know i shouldn't. irony of trying to be healthy makes me unhealthy.

yeh I'm the same as Stefy, I'm lazy so I eat easy food but I'd be perfectly happy eating plates of spinach, carrots etc for meals.

Generally before I went to 6th form I had a fairly good diet, I ate loads of salad and not too much fatty foods, but since I've gone to college it's gone TERRIBLE. Because I have much more freedom I eat more crap cause I can just walk 2 mins to the shop and buy some crisps or some chocolate. Also idk why but since my brother's moved to uni my mum hasn't been so on the whole good meal front because she always thought he looked ill so would feed him very good food but now he's gone she doesn't realise that I WANT VEGETABLES TOOO PLEASE MOTHER.

but she is giving me fab food tonight mmmmm pakchoi

I tend to have a balanced diet, but I don't eat as much fruit and veg as I should. Though I do quite a bit of exercise every so often so I supposed its balanced in a different way.

Mine most defiantly isn't although atm i am doing food and nutrition and for an assignment in need to write a food diary for an athlete to fit there needs and what they really should be eating...

The portion sizes are mad that are real... i mean the whole '5 a day' thing was just a number which the government thought people would be able to manage, we should actually eat 11 portions a day... i NEVER manage to eat 5 anyway.

Also the amount of fat everyone will eat which we aren't supposed to is shocking tbh. 1 portion of fat is the size of a teaspoon or 1 penny piece and these what people eat will be things such as mayonnaise and cooking oil. these are supposed to be ate as sparingly as possible. If you fry something you will no doubt be using more than a small teaspoon of cooking oil? you will also have more than a teaspoon of butter on your bread.

So I know i by far don't have a balanced diet but i also think people who claim they do have an almost balanced diet most probably don't?? given these facts anyway!
