Default Do you have a "balanced" diet?

My Food Technology teacher gave us like an hour on having what is referenced as a "healthy balanced diet" pointing out we ARE ALL on diets, just not necessarially one where we aim to lose weight.

This is the image we were shown and went into each section in thorough detail. I for one can't say I'm anywhere near this! I don't eat many vegetables at all. However I don't eat many sweets/sugar at all out of personal taste/choice. I also don't like milk and things like that, but due to family tradition we eat rice every day :@

    How about you?

God no. My diet is awful in general. Since moving to uni, I seem to eat a lot of things like pasta, noodles, potatoes and just things that are loaded with starch. I think I get through too many sugary drinks and snacks, as I tend to eat when I'm bored (which is a terrible habit). I sometimes have fruit which is usually strawberries, grapes or raspberries and if I'm feeling up to it, I try and include veg with my evening meals - not that this happens very often.

No and never will be. I've survived 11 years without eating more than one portion of fruit/veg a day (very often no more than 1 a week), I'm perfectly health (I go for medical tests often and despite them not liking my diet, they can't give me a reason to change it because I'm perfect weight, growing well, and very healthy in general).

My bread/rice/pasta portion is probably about right. My meat portion is probably double what it should be. Same with my milk & fatty things. But I'm fine. I'm not fat, I'm actually in very good health for someone with my condition, so until I have a reason to, I refuse to change it.

That's sort of how being Chinese works for you although half the time now my parents don't bother, we just have a takeaway/chips instead (H)

I reckon i have a pretty balanced diet, not really through 'choice', just so happens. I enjoy yoghurts, my dinners usually have vegetables in them unless its a takeaway but then generally theres a bit in there still. Meal usually has pasta or potatoes of some sort in them, if not then theres usually vege in there. Basically what im saying is i have a really balanced diet by accident. The only thing i dont do is i dont eat enough fruit, but thats because they dont really fill me up and they dont taste amazing, pretty messy too d:

Err I eat loads of crap, don't have a healthy diet but if I wanted to I could easily eat healthy. I just eat when I'm bored which means grab anything I see which tends to be unhealthy. But if someone just gave me a plate of vegetable for dinner every day for a month then I'd be happy cos I love every food imaginable mmmmm
