OK if This did not work it will likely be a problem with your modem, But you can keep trying.

Right Click on My Computer, Go to Properties
On the Left hand side click Device Manager
Drop down the "Network Adapters" Tab
Find your Wireless card and right click and select uninstall
    Restart your Laptop

    Go onto your Other PC.
Find your Manufacturers Website and Download The LATEST drivers.
    Run the new drivers file.

    Good-luck.
    Thank-you,

    Is your ISP Virgin Media?

I've encountered 2 laptops that will not connect to a VM Hub. Both had the same wireless card, a Realtek RTL8187. Now apparently the CQ50 uses an Atheros card so this may not be as valid, BUT look up your wireless card and compatibility issues with Virgin Media.

The superhub is a piece of garbage, once we replaced it with a proper router all the Apple devices on our network suddenly had reasonable connection speeds whereas before they did not. If you have a superhub that's the problem.

You're unlikely to notice it unless you actually test for it. But the Superhub tends to manifest different problems on a case by case basis.

It does have it's problems, well I don't know if it still does but the problems I had were fixed after turning a few services off and the latest firmwares improved the actual device overall. It's also said they are bringing another firmware update sometime this year too. Can't say I've had any major problems with the superhub and it isn't that bad overall but I guess it varies user to user.
