Aaron I think it's good to do an exam in it, because after going through it for 2 years it's good to know you at least get a gcse out of it
You did contraception. Our school decided not to teach us about contraception because it wasn't ever going to appear in the exam - and it didn't. We didn't do marriage or divorce either lmao. We did do war and peace though and a few others.

RE is now compulsary in our school starting next year ( x.x )
But last year, the last time I did RE, we practised on a GCSE paper and I managed to get A* with only revising a little.

its compulsory for me to have to do re however we call it global education at my school (i don't have a clue why), but i would say it was a very easy subject to do, it's just remembering to quote bible quotes etc (well i find it easy anyway). i have got all A's in both my mock and real exams so far in re!!

For us, it's compulsory until you're in year 11 - so everyone gets at least half a GCSE in it (short course). If you choose it for options you do the full course = full GCSE.

But yeah, I thought it was compulsory for a certain age for all schools as well o.o

We're a weird school though. Like, we do all our options differently etc.

We HAD to do RE in year 7 and 8, but not in yr 9 onwards. In year 9 you start your options. (pick two).
But now we have to do RE all though school, but that meant making us not do DT anymore

It depends on the school. It wasn't compulsory for me however, the IT short course was.

Ict and Re are compulsory at my school as well as p.e (unfortunately). I'm exactly like you said though Shar, I don't get a's in other subjects but I enjoy r.e. Harriet we don't have to quote bible quotes for our exams/tests?

So it's more of a subject that'll help pick up on your marks basically then?

oh right didn't you? i am doing the same topics as you, and for example the topic which contained abortion nd that we would say a quote such as 'killing a baby is murder - which is one of the 10 commandments' etc. then we would just further that and explain why.
