So it's true, the XBOX isn't a gaming machine any more. Oh well, this generation Sony get my money.

I get your point but using your strange logic, and I am assuming heavily here, you should ditch your smart phone because it's not a call-people machine any more. I wish Microsoft would focus more on selling it as a console as opposed to a media centre but that doesn't mean I'm going to completely forgo getting the console.

For me I hope it has backwards compatibility and the ability to talk to people across the two Xboxs. If it has those it'll be a day one purchase for me, if not then I'll wait till my friends upgrade. I'd also like to see Xbox Gold reduced in price (or made free) and for Microsoft to introduce a service similar to PSN+ at Gold's current price point.

Should be good to see what they have done, and what new features they have added, however not much of a gamer myself, but good news for the people that are!

So I am looking forward to seeing this. Pleased it is about 6pm UK time - not 11pm like Sony's! Would love to see a console design, but I expect that will probably come at E3. I will once again buy which console I think is best - even though some have already stated they WILL buy either the PS4 or Xbox Durango - which seems ridiculous when you haven't seen the competition.

Slightly concerned at these big events ending up in June (ohithere E3 and WWDC) - bang in the middle of exams!

I see what you're saying now but when you buy a phone these days you don't just buy it for the phone, it's a portable version of a computer basically. The new console is just going to be another computer capable of playing games. I want a games console to play games, nothing more. It's probably just me being stubborn but it's going to cause more problems than it solves.

Microsoft will also never make XBOX Live free considering they have 40m active subscriptions (dat moneys).

Yeh, Had PS, PS2, PSP then moved to xbox and never looked back. Love gamerscore and guess a bit of a fein for it too.

I'm afraid the PS4 won't satisfy that. I'm thinking you'll have to go back to the PS1 generation... Or did they play music CDs? Perhaps a SNES then

Personally I'm an xbox fan, but was very impressed with the PS4 initially. At the moment, I'm still likely to buy the new xbox, just more my style Hopefully it doesn't disappoint

It won't be as powerful as my PC. Therefore it will not be in my house.

Currently using a PS3 - however I will pick my next console on which one I think is genuinely best, alongside whatever one the majority of my friends purchase.
