Scottish people don't pay for their first degree only and also apparently if you're over a certain age you have to pay if you're doing like highers (your a levels)

yeah they pay for your degree but say few years later u go for another degree, think that's when u have to pay.

Oh, makes sense. Here you always have to pay, but it's way over what is acceptable like in England, in my brother's uni it's like a bit over 1000 euros in public ones.

Yes, basically that. And the government just pays it. In the Uni site they say like EU students pay x, but we don't actually have to pay anything.
