I know that hosting Events for a fansite can be quite different to hosting a normal Event on Habbo and I think this is something that deters people from applying. The amount of rules and protocols that we have in place (such as posting Community Notice Boards, warning systems, recording all event winners, booking events on a calendar and so on) are not things you'd normally do when you host a standard event that is not for a fansite. I agree with Charlies point and also think that this is another reason why people are perhaps more reluctant to join.

I will start off with senior + hosting events. Seniors assist Head DJs when the Head DJ is hosting like a giveaway mostly and forgot what else. They won't host events like FF , etc (from my Head DJ experience). Head DJs has to host 2 or 3 events monthly as their requirement unless this have changed. As for the djs they do their best to promote the events on air if there is events on if not they wont. Although maybe promote on air every once in a while or have a jingle made to promote events can work a bit.
On the events side, you won't see many events on due to the amount of staff. You can't expect the same EO to do events 24/7...they do have a life of their own as well. It is sad to see that there is a lack of events at Habbox as we are an official fansite but we can't force them host every hour.. I mean it is their furni or coins that they have to use and yes by hosting events helps to attract new users daily/weekly/montly. But I am not blaming the Events Manager due to the lack of events here. I don't even blame the EO either as those who do make events regularly are doing their best to entertain everyone.

Be careful what you wish for!
yeah lolIs it not possible to go out into non-fansite event rooms and raise awareness for Habbox events? Didn't @Lewis; (oops wrong forum name) used to go into those rooms and tell the hosts about Habbox and how they could apply for events? I know Lewis kept bugging me (that's a good thing btw) with PMs and VMs about returning as well. I think odey just needs to keep pushing people all the time.
i reckon the events manager should be able to go into random event rooms and, if the host is doing a good job, offer them a trial there and then. if you haven't had anything much to do with fansites before, the idea of going through an application and having to wait around for a response might be quite daunting.
I also went through like 100s of CNB pages to message old staff, and I probably still have a list of like a hundred of them if odey wants to message them some more![]()

This basically. Events are meant to be fun and the rules and regulations (especially about timing which is just stupid) suck all the fun out of them. Limiting an event to an hour slot in which anything from 20-40 minutes is a near empty room waiting for more participants and then finishing abruptly on or before the hour when the room finally has some people in it is stupid and there's no excuse for keeping time rules now that we have so few events on.
Unless Odey has changed it back, I changed the one hour slot rule slightly...This basically. People are allowed to do overtime as much as they please as long as it's popular and stays popular enough--and were encouraged and rewarded for it to do so (alongside it counting towards their minimum depending how much overtime they did)! Plus a few more things were loosened up, too. There was more things to it, such as starting events earlier too, but I won't go in any detail.
Oh, and another thing, if an event that's being hosting is unpopular for quite a while, they were welcome to change the game to something else that may think might get more popular. I can't remember if I added that bit to the handbook, but it was something else. A wrong game type advertised that is full of people is better than a game type advertised correctly with no one in it!
Anyway, if those rules above or something similar/better aren't being done, it is a bit stupid!

i lost all motivation to host when i had an agm nagging at the events manager to warn me for letting someone i had just got to sign up the forum play rather than her because i move the barrier and they didn't get in fast enough lol. they wanted me warned for not kicking someone who was brb and instead i moved a barrier. kinda felt disheartened and i felt attacked over someone being petty and caring for themselves rather than the community lolThis basically. Why not just let any department host events.
I will destroy IsisI got it from my daddy
Or just anyone who's willing since no-one in the entire universe cares about the CNB and there are plenty of people who don't mind doing the odd event but can't be bothered with all the staff nonsense
