How to lose thousands of pounds over night... own properties in Turkey..

    ---

Reports seem to imply it has failed, surely running out of time for any success now. Not good news at all - as others have said, the Government will likely use this to take a stronger hand on the people.

Worrying now that President Erdogen could now get his wish and turn Turkey over from a Parliamentary system of government to a Presidential one, with executive power and governmental power being invested in his office rather than the Parliament. Not my kind of state system nor one that suits Turkey (Kurdistan issue). If you were really cynical you'd be arguing he'd staged this failed coup as a way of getting support against the army for what he really wants.....

There's a lot of talk about this being a false flag to gain more power for himself which really wouldn't surprise me when you consider Erdogan's history.

US airlines prohibited flying to & from Istanbul & Ankara airports by FAA.
IST was completely overrun with people freely walking into secured areas - So god knows what any of those people could have done to any aircraft that was on the ground during that time.
