Ye I've been indifferent about death at points n I think anybody in this thread that has denied it is lying for fear of coming off as a sad or negative person.

It's perfectly normal to have these thoughts on occasion but if ur having them every time ur not occupied please start to consider where they're stemming from and that they can become damaging if u continue to allow them to crop up. Talking about ur thoughts with someone will almost always help towards overcoming or reducing the frequency of them so pls consider it guys x

similar to Jake i can honestly say i've never thought i've not wanted to be there, I'm not afraid of death cause if it happens it happens but I've never had the thought that I didn't want to be here.

Yeah, quite often recently. It's a really hard thing to explain. I am totally grateful for my life but I'm just going through a difficult time. Just waiting for the light on the other side of the tunnel or whatever.

    Q.

For those who have them, how often/if at all does added thought of ending it come into play?

the idea of having to go through with it and inflict pain on myself to do it scares me and is probably what has terrified me the most in the past when i've felt suicidal. from research i've made the idea of it hurting or it failing is one of the things that makes people not go through with it and i 100% relate. i don't have these thoughts as much as i used to anymore, i was really having a hard time for a few years and felt very isolated and alone but the internet was my escape - this year has been a turning point in the sense that i've started to communicate more with my mother about my mental health problems, i've gotten a job, made a lot of new friends and i've been seeing someone who has genuinely made me happier and more confident and ~~~~find~~~~ myself more. there are still times when i feel down where i am like 'ohh what if' but it passes. i've also went to the doctors recently because it got bad again to begin seeing someone for counselling, if it ever gets that bad again, i have a number to call because i'm so much more appreciative of who i am, my life and the amazing people i have in it, whether internet friends or rl or family

I don't usually think about having an active part in my demise, more about not wanting to have existed in the first place rather than wanting to die now
