Thread: Zits/Spots

I used to get them really bad. Most of mine were due to me growing up, now I'm older I don't really have any, just a few on my face and a few on my chest and back. I found that using a sponge with shower gel and scrubbing it on t e areas with spots helps, its rough so it takes off the heads and dry skin and it also cleans it. I did have creams and antibiotics from the doctor but they did nothing and they were getting annoying to use everyday.

The sauna thing, I have one. Well actually my shower has a built in steam thing, can be classed as a sauna. Although it wouldn't help my spots since mine get worse in heat.

Some people know nothing , its been proven that hygiene doesn't affect your spots and excessive washing can actually make them worse.

actually eamonn spots are caused by oily skin clogging up pores. [sp?] if you moisturise and wash with clean water you shouldn't get loads of spots..

Umm no spots are caused by your sebaceous glands when they are overactive they produce too many hormomes which allow your hair follicles to become clogged. So therfore spots can't be stopped with just water.

Causing your skin to become oiling clogging up your pores and creating spots "/ moisturing and washing with fresh water helps avoid spots..

Umm no because too much washing and scrubbing can make spots worse because washing away surface oils does next to nothink to prevent or cure acne, because it forms under the skin.

Lol listen.. if your face is oily and you moisturise it, it prevents you from getting as many / all spots.

If you don't have a sauna use a kettle just boil it and put your face (or whatever) over the steam, careful though because it does get hot, but if you stop for a few days they come back.
