I think it should be harsher but maybe a temp ban on first offence depending on how harsh it was.

by temp banning and inracting you don't educate them it makes them think they can do what they want. if you ban the account permenently then they will also be educated that it is wrong what they did and if they do it again they will receive a harsh consiquence

It depends entirely on the person. Temp banning will educate them if they are misled individuals, but if they are the same person each time, then banning will work.

    this is stupid.

making a racist comment is no different from calling someone or stupid - it's insulting someone for something they cannot help/
it's stupid to ban someone for it, if you start that everyone will end up getting banned for every rule break.

its nothing like calling someone stupid actually, i find that post rather stupid. racism is discrimination which is against the law and stupid is just a childish insult

If you give them a temp ban they might realise what they did was wrong.
If they get a perm ban they will probably come back very annoyed and flood the forumss with racist comments.

If habbo have a zero tolerence policy then perhaps that would force their fansites to follow the same policy? It used to be a 24 hour ban for racism and it would be longer for repeat offenders. Not sure what it is now but the last person I reported for racism has been back on so it was a week at the most.

i think nearly everyone who is old enough to go on the internet (and on here) is already educated enough to know that racism is wrong. anyone who posts a racism comment is likely to be someone messing around who keeps returning on different accounts (like greco in the past) therefore i think changing the way it is will be pointless

There is a 2 point infraction for bullying/racism as to a 1 point for insults which is repeated usually leads to a ban If I remember correctly and it hasn't changed.

I think you shouldn't bother with this because eventually, as in real life, the white people will feel discriminated against if racist comments are made to them and nothing will be done.

This is a forum for a habbo fansite, I don't think we should be worrying about such complex issues.
