I posted in the articles (I think) or something section and there was only a very short list of threads so I posted in one of them and then got a warning and -15 rep :@

If it's an automatic close after a certain time - Yes.
If the MOD's have to go around closing them - No, It'll be too much work for them.
Maybe it'd be an idea to ammend that so it says "over 10 days old, unless on the first page" or something similar which would avoid that situation in relatively inactive forums.
