The talent is there we're just lacking execution. It's like we've been given all the parts to a supercar but with no instructions. We've got the power, we've got the solid core, we've got the speed but no way of knowing how they all fit together so we chuck it all together and hope it works. and for a little while, when going downhill it appears to work but at the first speed bump the wheels come off.

True. The premier league is too competitive therefore, harder for them to come together as a team and be able to gel together. They are poor a side at the moment.

You have realised that the Russian football league can compete with England on the money level. Well, until Man City got taken over anyway.

Sven Goran Erikson was right about English footballers. They're over-rated and over-payed. He said that English players with the same quality of a different country player, is worth much more. And thats why Sven was buying all these foreigners. I'm suprised our footballers are over-rated because most of them are just crap all over to me lol.

Not "flaming" you but this is a ridiculous post. Football will never run itself out because of what it is. My friend plays for Stoke academy and hes the same as you, feeling theres lots of young boys in academies that play for the love of football not money. Realise though that every pro player came from a lower level, mostly all from a clubs youth system somewhere in the world and at the time because they werent good enough to get paid well played for the exact same reasons you are, they love the game.

I know for a fact academy players get good money for playing and even better bonuses for scoring so thats nonsense, everyone has a love of football or else they wouldnt make it to be a pro but come on and be realistic, if someone said to me ill pay you 100k a week to do the one thing on earth you love more than anything of course id agree, playing football and becoming a millionaire? Only a fat lazy billionaire would turn that down and thats some truth right there.

The only problem with owners being this big in the top leagues of countries, is that it means the lower teams have less chance of someone buying the team as they may not suceed or be as popular.

Problem about Man City'stakeover, means that what was our very popular academy that was bring in quality young English players, will disapear under all these world class players were meant to be buying.

You could say that England are shooting themselves in the foot? As there covering up star English players with other country star players.
    I lol'd

But on topic - No it wont, but, i think more people will loose interest because, already, there is to much money in it and players dont like to see someone come in and change the squad. A couple of transfers is ok but a new 18 player team? I wouldnt follow City if that happened (if i did follow them in the 1st place)

We have no choice to accept the fact that football is ever-growing. Before the Premier League, there was no mega rich owners and hardly any 'big money' transfers. The Premier League was created so that the 'big' clubs can get 'bigger' and dominate the world basically, and this is why the football league clubs are suffering because they don't have the same invested. Especially now with the parachute payments and everything, it just makes it harder.

I'm not for or against it, I just accept that it's happening and try to carry on supporting my team as normal.
