Default Will Football shoot itself in the foot?

This sounds kinda crazy but I think Football will run itself out in the next 10 years or so. Everything is just money and not many players/managers/owners actually care about the football. All these mega rich people who come in and buy certain clubs and waste ridiculous amounts of money on players is just not fun. Years ago it was playing football for the love of the sport. I bet you if every manager said tomorrow everyone's wages is going to £5000 a month (Which is excellent money) They wouldn't bother playing.

I also find it annoying that kids are in academies playing football for the love of the sport and their is no way they will get a chance in hell of making a break through if these billionaire owners will throw money at already big name players. It will eventually run out of good players because the ones who had the potential to big the best wont have been noticed and brought through the reserves to show himself (I see it this way with me playing for Blackburn Academy)

Also fans. I feel they are just needed for 1. To create a atmosphere 2. To fund the club and the players. My Dad has a friend who escorts Everton players from the training ground to their homes and he asked the player if he wanted to get out and sign some autographs because normally they ask the escorts to pull over to do it and the Everton player (Not knowing which one it is) replied "Just run them over" obviously joking about but meaning Obviously no. Their the people who admire them and put the money in their back pocket.

Maybe its just me. I love football and man I love playing it. And I do go the games and obviously football and going nowhere anytime soon and wont be. But I think something major will happen in a few years and the Prem Leagues will be ruined with all these multi-billionaire owners buying who they want like its a little game. Your thoughts and does anyone agree with me on any things?

    - Peter

Probably just be one league or something because lower league players will want bigger wages and the team's won't have it. Lower league football is where the passion lies.

Phew. Though I was just going to be flamed at as soon as I hit 'Post' button. I agree with that, Some Lower League divisions and teams have second jobs to their football. They do it because they enjoy the game and money is not an essential for them.

No they do it because they're not good enough footballers to play football full-time and need other sources of income.

Football is a business, no it won't.

That's like saying the Internet will be non-existent in 10 years.

Football won't collapse in 10 years... it will just grow. Football is a business and not just entertainment. If football didn't have rich owners, then the players won't get played, which means they won't play, and then football would collapse... The only problem with owners being this big in the top leagues of countries, is that it means the lower teams have less chance of someone buying the team as they may not suceed or be as popular.

Problem about Man City'stakeover, means that what was our very popular academy that was bring in quality young English players, will disapear under all these world class players were meant to be buying.

You could say that England are shooting themselves in the foot? As there covering up star English players with other country star players.

I know a lad who plays for Man City under 16's. I've played next to him in Liverpool trails. I see what you mean. Is that you FlameDragon who stacked my casino that time when I used to play Habbo? lol.

This is why england are such a crappy team when they play. A bunch of over payed arrogant players who don't gel well because they're over-payed. You look at a team such as Russia, not all are WELL payed but they have so much passion for the game.
