Keeping in mind, network storage is a fair bit slower than direct connection, especially if the computer connected to it is connected via wifi.
Nick.: I LOVE YOUR SIG.
i've been here for over 8 years and i don't know why
I have a Buffalo router, they're really good.Personally I think it's totally worth it getting a NAS HDD, it provides awesome access and easy backup throughout the network and potential for things such as FTP access.
We have a Buffalo one which cost about £110 last year, it's only 250GB and I guess you could easily get 1TB for that price these days but I still think it's worth it.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.
Do they ship to UK?Yes by the way you can buy it

pfft, everywere exept england
If you have a decent router and you're using a wired connection, I believe Ethernet is far quicker than USB 2.0, however any speed 'gained' will be lost as the HDD is USB 2.0 with a converter. NAS ftw!
Im using wireless internet so hmmmmm, NAS would i be able to get one sent here for like £30-40?
Could you get NAS? ofc you can, are you t alking about the converter thing posted above or actually new hard drive etc?
Nah i want just a thing for my network to go into my harddrive well the external one. not another hard drive.
