im guessing that debt is there because of the paypal fees of the transaction of the virtual goods, if it's being reversed then no you shouldn't have to worry, it should just go away.

I would reckon that once the case is closed, the funds should be transferred back to the user who started the claim. The negative balance on your account is probably to stop you from being able to spend any money through the PayPal system until the dispute is solved.

I wouldn't expect phone calls considering that the user is going to get their money back, as its going to get refunded. I don't see why the money would have automatically been returned, I think the way it works is that it is put on hold and then you should still be able to refund. Its as if the funds that were sent are in limbo, to prevent any party from being able to use them.

Hmm you shouldn't really have a problem.. Can paypal increase the amount you owe them if you dont pay it back, after all you gave no agreement of interest or anything like that?

Haven't read thread but this happened to me not too long ago.

Just reply to the dispute as if you're trying to settle it with the other person. State what exactly happened. For me, PayPal ruled the dispute in favour of the other person so I had lost my items and received no money. But I emailed them saying something on the lines of that they have made a mistake and their method of making the decision is clearly flawed. Somehow this caused them to re-reverse the payment back to me so in the end I received the money.

This was after most people had told me as it was virtual items and I was the seller, I had no chance of winning the dispute, but somehow I did.

i dunno! i just want this off my back and paypal to piss off
Also, the whole process will take a couple of weeks. Don't be stressing about getting it sorted quickly. PayPal are slow, just try the stuff I suggested as it worked for me .

Its a claim (means only get choice of refund, show i posted items - need postal details or show i refunded) and its 7 day long, ends tomorrow
