Pictures of ourselves for our Avatars...

This idea is even weirder than everyone being allowed to use photos of themselves. If I was 12 for example, and I came to this forum and the only self-avatars were of adults, it would seem like the whole forum was entirely populated by adults (as there would be no avatars of younger people) so it would probably just put me off.

So if you're a habbo fansite, why are you denying us the chance to use photos of ourselves as avatars?

Also, how the hell would it be "messy"? It's the same as having a picture of a celeb in your avatar!

It's not the same at all. Most of the celebrity photos people would use in their avatar will be professionally done and it's obvious from looking at them that they are of somebody famous or whatever. If everyone was using photos of themselves it would look tacky because you would get all sorts of the worst photography you've ever seen.

The Habbo way actually states that we must allow users to post a picture of themselves, so I think that would clear that up

I must say I can't understand this.

The poll options; 'No - Not even if you are 18' and; 'No - Pictures should not be allowed for any members' are essentially the same thing - so I voted for both. Also check-boxes are pointless for this poll.

Even though it would never work, how about implementing a rule, all photos have to be decent quality or whatever. And by quality I mean not your typical myspace photo.

Allow your visitors to post a photo of themselves that's appropriate and does not contain personal information.

I've always said it looks tacky and it does. I'd never have myself as my avatar but if people want to then they should be allowed. People might even feel more comfortable posting thinking they're good looking and people will reply to them and what not.
