Log Off or Shut Down?

isn't putting it on 'sleep' mode effectively changing the screen darkness as much as turning it off?

All the core hardware is still running to keep the data in the RAM and CPU ticking over, it's just running in a very low power mode, it also turns off any unnecessary hardware like TV Tuners or USB thumb drives etc.

If i had this problem i would probably Defragment it and clean it up abit.

Just leave it and if it keeps doing it get it fixed
