A terrible situation in Japan!

Yeh, the difference is, Japan got payback, but America aka Pearl Harbour, they get bombed by Japan for what? not only that, our of the blue, BANG, they get bombed, there the selfish ones. I'm not ignorant, u call me ignorant, ur calling millions of people ignorant. Ive heard THOUSANDS of ppl look up history on everything thats happened & don't like Japan because of it, so don't you dare tell me i'm the most ignorant person alive!

It kinda totally does actually because none of THEM did it. Being the same nationality as someone who's done wrong doesn't make you a bad person

About the whaling, that has nothing to do with there government, just normal people taking a stroll all yr long killing our whales until we threatened them finally, then they stopped. Been all over the news, not my fault they do what they do.

Yes like I said, a handful of illegal pirate whalers. Again not something you can condemn an entire country for. Australia has massive drug cartels which commit horrific crimes to keep going (and what they "keep going" with isn't exactly savoury itself) but that doesn't make everyone in the country an irredeemably evil figure

NONE OF THE PEOPLE IN JAPAN RIGHT NOW BOMBED INNOCENT PEOPLE. How difficult is this to understand? "Japan" is not a concept or entity with actions of its own, it's a place full of people just like any other country, and the actions ordered by a long gone government have nothing to do with any of the people who live there at the moment. The Empire of Japan (the Japanese nation who bombed Pearl Harbor) no longer exists and hasn't for the past 64 years.

That is not what I'm saying at all, do you even know what you're on about? I'm not saying it's ok to bomb anyone, I'm saying that you can't blame the current generation of Japanese people for actions dealt by a handful of their ancestors. I don't know when your family moved to Australia but let's say your great great great grandfather was moved there as one of the many criminal evictees from Britain (just for argument's sake). Should YOU be in prison for something HE did?

flipflop, so basically, your saying the Japanese deserve this? That its karma for what they did? Lets be honest here, no country is perfect, no country at all. Your going on as if Japan bombed America as a whole country, like they all got up, went into their back garden and all bombed America. Lets face it, America hardly has a clean record for war crimes now has it? The people that died in Japan are INNOCENT, so basically, what your saying now is for example, a terrorist attack happened in Germany and your saying 'well nazi's were from germany, so i guess its karma.' Thats not fair at all.

And your also comparing a WHALE, to a human? No offence, but a whale is a whale, whether its on the brink of extinction or not, its an animal, in my opinion ANY human life is more important then that of a whales.

Come to think of it, I think everyone is taking this Japan stuff a little to far. Yeh theres a lot of nice asian ppl around but, Japan started WW2 and bombed America & couple other countrys, they were killing our, Australian whales for over a year which nearly started a war, i honestly think they don't deserve as much attention as they are getting atm, Yeh theres familys n kids n all, sux, but it also sucked when normal ppl from several countrys like USA, UK, AUS n many more got bombed for nothing.

I totally agree with this. They are ignorant whalers, they do stuff to other countries, they are independent. Who cares bout em.
