Arguments and Thread Closures

Actually, i simply help people out & post some reply that shouldnt even matter yet, everyone takes it serious & they always turn it into 1 big arguement. Especially the stuff they have been saying, yet i'm the one getting blamed for all of this ? It shows how many rude people there are, here at Habbox.

Another thing, i'm not the one suppose to be getting punished, considering the people that started the arguements & are even still sadly posting on them right now with threats, it shows how much more poor, members of Habbox are.

We were all PM'd - despite the fact some of us said nothing worthy of punishment (as I proved over PM).

I am not saying any of your "opposition" were right to effectively attack you, however you were in the wrong too.

If you haven't seen the graphics argument, take a look at the thread aswell And then he continued it over private messaging saying a lot of rude things.

I'm glad staff are more relaxed now on thread closures, it lets some decent topics survive.

Is this comment going to contribute to constructive discussion or is it going to head towards a personal-attack style derailing of this constructive thread in the same exact manner that this thread was created to complain about?


To more substantive issues: if one or two people are causing an argument, infractions, edits, bans etc. should just be issued. However if it gets to the point where the main topic of the thread has become the derailing argument and is no longer the original intent - I think it should be closed, even if its mostly one or two people with other people throwing in. This is because the thread has effectively shifted topic - if the thread is closed for destructive arguments that derailed it, you are almost always allowed to repost a thread on the original topic. This works because you refocus the discussion and separate out the off-topic or personal arguments that had forestalled further constructive discussion. Just my opinion.
