I like Kardan. I'm also biased because I was one of the people who pulled back the reins on rep but it was also absurd back then. To be fair we had been a part of the problem by selling rep at one point. Why does the reputation day limit need reducing?
The limits used to be a lot, lot stricter... Back in 2008 you needed to re-rep 50 other people, with a limit of 5 reps a day before you could re-rep somebody... http://www.habboxforum.com/showthrea...ght=reputation
Ever since then, these limits have been lowered and lowered, but why should they keep being lowered?
Personally I have never needed to rep someone twice within seven days... So why would it need to be lowered to 4/5?
With a limit of 4 days, that's 91 potential reps a year per person, compared to 52 at the current rate. With the current suggestion of lowering the limit, you would nearly double the rate of reputation gain.
The whole point of reputation is that it was limited, and the harsh measures mentioned earlier of the 50 person re-rep limit were brought in because of reputation going out of control and people have rep powers of over 50.
The system is perfect as it is.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

i agree with this. i do find myself having to wait to rep someone but the only reason for that is there is only the same old people posting nowadays and therefore only the same people i actually want to rep. the 50 people/5 reps a day would never work here because there are fewer people to give it to. i don't want it lowered because it happens to me maybe once a month or so but generally if i look at my given reputation it'll be the same people i've repped and same with my own reputation, i'll have 2 reps from the same person in that one page while before it would be 3 or 4 pages. reputation is given SO EASILY nowadays. i see staff with all reputation blocks and few posts!! i bring this point up all the time but people are able to rep each other for being friends or for making one little comment. rep means nothing now lol :/Why does the reputation day limit need reducing?

I agree that we shouldn't go back to the old limits, they were mad - the current limits are perfectly fine. Reputation shouldn't be devalued any further.i agree with this. i do find myself having to wait to rep someone but the only reason for that is there is only the same old people posting nowadays and therefore only the same people i actually want to rep. the 50 people/5 reps a day would never work here because there are fewer people to give it to. i don't want it lowered because it happens to me maybe once a month or so but generally if i look at my given reputation it'll be the same people i've repped and same with my own reputation, i'll have 2 reps from the same person in that one page while before it would be 3 or 4 pages. reputation is given SO EASILY nowadays. i see staff with all reputation blocks and few posts!! i bring this point up all the time but people are able to rep each other for being friends or for making one little comment. rep means nothing now lol :/
