From what I understand, the HIV cells that remain are uncapable of multiplying, so I'm guessing that means it's still passable to others, but it wouldn't do anything. A bit like getting chicken pox for a second time?
Anyways, this is only a small step, this is curing newborns that get the disease, but really, newborns shouldn't be getting the disease anyway because we already have the medicine to stop transmission from mother to newborn.
wonder how long it will take to cure adults that have had it for years? hopefully its not too far away
