I have the exact same thing going thru.

Im 14 he's 15 we're about 6 mos apart, and we were at the movies last night. (Emily rose) and he poked me at scary parts.
At lunch we sit with a group of swimmers I sometimes find him staring at me ect ect. He seems to always agree with me even though earlier I might have heard him disagreeing with what he just agreed with. He always comes in my lane at swim practice. He calls me by my first and last name, ect ect.

The most peculiar thing is that he stresses the point that he is homophobic. On his myspace he says under fears that he is homophobic, says it whenever the topic is brought up, ect, ect. He doesn't have a girlfriend, he tells me and only me about this girl he has a crush on, although it could just be a cover up (Ive never seen them talking) I really don't feel like making a move or anything for fear we would lose our friendship. Its kinda strange.
