Ayasegawa used his zanpaktou's true name in the Soul Society arc I believe, when he, Ikkaku and Zaraki sided with Ichigo and friends. Zaraki took care of Tousen and the fox-face captain while Ayasegawa fights (and defeats, using said zanpaktou) Shūhei Hisagi and Ikkaku fights Kira I think.

ye I quite like Ikkaku, he has the best attitude towards fights. The only thing which I don't like is his Bankai just cause its seems impractical.
One thing off topic I'd like to ask to see if anyone can hazard a guess, is what 'powers' has Aizen granted to himself, Ichimaru and Tousen? You learn in the manga that:

Aizen gave the Vizards their hollow powers during an experiment

but he seemed surprised at the outcome, which leaves me thinking what he expects from the Hougyoku? There's obviosuly been a massive increase in power in all three ex-captains but there's been no evidence that they've gained hollow powers as of yet. Please post any theories.

All of the movies are being set at the time of which they are released. When the movie was released, Ichigo could use Vizard powers. And where has Ayasegawa previously used his shikai's true name? What manga chapter? Cause I haven't seen it before now. The movies don't have to be set when they are released, but nevertheless - they are. As are the Naruto movies. Of course they're going to do it all in order, especially with a series like Bleach. Otherwise it'll spoil a lot of the future manga and anime episodes. Like, it would be ridiculous to have Ichigo be able to use Vizard powers in the first movie. :rolleyes:

He used it against the 69 dude while Zaraki was fighting the two captains. As already stated! What are you on about man!? I never said the movie was set at a different time from it's release, but it could be. I am just saying that the movies don't always have to fit into the Bleach series timeline, as it is possible to cause plot holes. Actually, now I'm thinking about it, it has. Orihime was kidnapped while Ichigo was learning to control his vizard powers. What's she doing in the movie? Also, while Ichigo was learning to control his vizard powers he was all annoyed and depressed until he got into Heuco Mundo, why's he so happy in the movie? PLOT HOLES!

In the manga (or anime i can't remember) you find out that there's a level above captain. I dunno if I like this idea cause it kinda ruins the rankings people have already about who could beat who in a fight etc, and how there's all these 'problems' in SS and that, that could be dealt with by these 'higher level' peeps.

I've never heard anything about a rank higher than a captain. Bleach has to keep introducing stronger and stronger people though, otherwise it will lose it's appeal. It's what every on-going fighting anime does. Look at Dragonball Z for example.
Villains: Kid Buu > Super Buu > Evil Buu > Buu > Cell > Freeza > Ginyu Force > Vegeta > Nappa > Raditz, etc, etc, etc...
Heroes: Veggeto > SS3 Gotenks > SS2 Gotenks > SS1 Gotenks > SS3 Goku > SS2 Goku > SS2 Vegeta > SS2 Gohan, etc, etc, etc...
Same thing applies to Bleach but I can't be bothered to type out the all the characters from strongest to weakest lol.
So really I wouldn't be surpised if there was a rank higher than captain. There are already many people who are stronger than half of the captains anyway.

It was mentioned in the manga mini-series, Turn Back the Pendulum. A captains meeting was held to basically instate Kisuke as a captain to replace another captain who's name I can't remeber, who got promoted to 'King's Guard' (from captain level).
