I get on with both my parents really well, and to be honest I think you (thread starter) really overreacted. I don't know what previous tensions you have with your father but him coming in your room to say that your mum's been calling for you is hardly a reason to go schiz at him, let alone say you hate him. Try to understand that being a parent is a lot harder than being the snotty little kid who wants everything his own way.

Well, i do & i don't get on with my dad, sometime i get on with him pretty well and we can talk and have a laugh and then there is other times when he gets really angry and you just really can't talk to him then. He gets really violent then and starts throwing things & stuff.

But, with my mom, i hardly talk to her, i'll have the odd conversation with her, but we kind of stick to our own things whereas my dad would come see me when i was doing my own thing.

That does make sense.

Well, i never used to get on with my dad so much, but sum1 told mi once that dads are only mean cos they love ya and they wanna protect you.
Like Helen said, i love my mum and dad aswell. And im now getting along alot better than I use to with my Dad :]

My relationship is great with my dad, He takes me to football games, Gives me support, Gives me things. You should try and sort it out between you two.
