    Its also about creating strict Doctypes to centralise HTML syntax and to stop the huge difference between how IE renders a webpage and how Firefox does.
    If you think it's to do with designing layouts, think again buddy.

    That's a clean version of HTML. Web 2.0 covers a whole load of coding languages. PHP, C++ etc.

    Clean designs have nothing to do with Web 2.0 :@ AJAX is from Javascript, Javascript is not activated in all browsers and Web 2.0 is all about being User Friendly, so Javascript cannot come under Web 2.0.

    It's your sites decision to use Web 2.0 as a baseline, make it flat out Web 2.0 or don't give a toss about it and think just how you would want your website to be seen (like me) and don't care about some standards (I couldn't care less about Validating. Only thing is, valid sites sell for more). I have to agree with Adam to be honest after what he said, there isn't a need for Web 2.0. A website is all about you, you shouldn't have to follow 'standards' so to put.

    There is no "web 2.0". It was just a design name created by a company to tell their style of design.

    Your making your self look more stupid, since how can C++ be anything to do with Web 2.0. Try wikipedia and you will see you are wrong. Web 2.0 has something to do with coding standards but in just the way of creating a centralised standard nothing to do with how its set out.

    Ill say it again Web 2.0 is all about the interation between the user and the website.

    Web 2.0 isn't really to do with design, although it has evolved greatly now so it pretty much includes what is know as a "Web 2.0" design now.

    Web 2.0 is more about the use of developing web technologies (ie. AJAX and Flex) and standards-based coding to create a new generation of websites that normally include some sort of social network aspect.

    Web 2 - For the idiots who use the term false

    User inteferance == Web2.

    Design + Ajax + Any other effects all contribute to "web2" site.

    Kill the person who falsely advertised it in the first place.
