If you think it's to do with designing layouts, think again buddy.
That's a clean version of HTML. Web 2.0 covers a whole load of coding languages. PHP, C++ etc.
Clean designs have nothing to do with Web 2.0 :@ AJAX is from Javascript, Javascript is not activated in all browsers and Web 2.0 is all about being User Friendly, so Javascript cannot come under Web 2.0.
It's your sites decision to use Web 2.0 as a baseline, make it flat out Web 2.0 or don't give a toss about it and think just how you would want your website to be seen (like me) and don't care about some standards (I couldn't care less about Validating. Only thing is, valid sites sell for more). I have to agree with Adam to be honest after what he said, there isn't a need for Web 2.0. A website is all about you, you shouldn't have to follow 'standards' so to put.
