You're comparing Habbox radio to Kiss radio... lmao.

And it isn't all 'grundger' or whatever you call it, whenever I go on it it's always crappy pop music, so that's why I only go on it from time to time. I think the radio should have different shifts for different music, like rap hour, rock hour etc.

Hmm people often say things like that. It might be a good idea maybe if you had a mix of 2 different genres though to give it more variety.

It would be difficult to do that at primetime because well, its primetime lol and people would complain like hell if you weren't playing their requests.

Also I think maybe if you only cater for a specific audience it makes it slightly difficult for the next DJ. Like if there's been one genre of say rock and then a DJ comes on with dance, pop etc. It could mean they lose a lot of listeners.

Or just spread the listeners out over different time periods.

Why should Habbox DJs buy or download music they dont like just for you?

I think DJs have a right to play the style of music they like, if you don't like it turn it off.

Habbox Live should state which DJs play which type of music

Then you would get a set amount of people tuning in for each show, and not just people tuning in, hearing a crappy song, and turning it off.

The amount of times i've heard "Flying the flag" on HxLive has nearly caused me to commit suicide though.

I think that is the best way to do it, the only disadvantage is people who aren't online for the show they're missing... but hey, there's always WMP as back up. I think the radio will get more listeners if there is alotted genre times, it may seem like less, but for each hour or so there will so many listeners who have turned off or turned on so it will work out just about the same. As I said, I hardly ever listen to Habboxlive because it's like pop song, pop song, pop song, rap song, good song, pop song, rap song, then back to the start. They hardly play anything I like, so I just stick to good old WMP.

    and at Mexel.

    The stats are actually correct.

They are just a bit sneaky.

As the radio is on Hx.com, when people go onto Hx.com thats +1 listener for the radio, and Hx.com is a bloody popular site.

My personal opinion is if you DJ you are DJing for the public therefore play the music they want not what you want. Thats my opinion. Whether DJs follow that or not is not something I am willing to force upon although I will advice the Habboxlive management about it .

that means they have to buy (or illegally download, which you shouldn't really reccomend as a business) music they dislike..

    i think that's unfair.
music generally takes up a lot of space on someone's PC, so why download aload of crap you dislike, for a reason as small as you are a DJ.

Like I said, shows should be given music genres.

But what the public want to hear is usually pop, us people who don't really like pop hardly get a say in the matter, that's why we don't tune in. My requests are usually ignored because the DJ doesn't have that band or song, because all they have is a ton of pop.
