If you want her to still like you (as a mate) then you've basically gotta say right then I'll think about it, if you're in a big group of kids then they're more likely to understand. Then later the same day(/tommorow, your choice, but some time soon) tell her that you only like her as a friend and you don't want anything more from your relationship.

But if you wanted to say yes then I'd probably reccomend saying I'll think about it to them, and then saying to them later when they're on their own. The words do normally come to you, but if they don't, say "Yeah, alright.", BUT DON'T SAY "Yeah why not." because she might take it personally.
