homosexuality isn't a gene, but there has been some science that leads belief that it is chemical. A lack of hormones etc. However, my belief is that it is a preference like everything else. Are you born with preferences? Do you choose to like the taste of steak, or is that just the way it is? it's open to interpretation, but that's what i think.

ok so its been proven that people are born straight so the question is why do you choose to be gay?

is it because:
1)you want to be different
2)you think its in style
3) or do you do it because the opposite sex has been horrible to you

No, thats attachment in psychology, which parent you choose to have a stronger bond with doesn't directly affect your sexuality. There is a love/hate relationship with your father where you love him because he's your father, but you hate him because he is the dominant male role in the family (this part is mostly for boys, but can be for girls and their mothers), also most children, boys or girls tend to grow more attached with the one who spends more time and attention with them during their critcal period of life, this is usually the mother, but it can be the father depending on who is the dominant role in the family (the mother was work during the day, leaving the father to spend time with the child)
