Because the Scottish are so 'proud' of their country but don't realise that it is the English which subsidise the Scottish under the Barnett formula. What you spend up in Scotland; free uni and so forth isn't sustainable for Scotland and is only provided because the spineless MPs here (mostly Labour) make sure Scotland recieves this money because if they didn't, Labour would lose the vital support it recieves from Scotland.

Why should my mother and father pay more taxes than that of a scottish family when we recieve less and the scottish family recieves more? - they shouldn't and it really winds people up, especially when we see people like the SNP and Scottish Nationalists moaning about what England is getting (rarely anything more than Scotland gets). Scottish MPs can also vote on English issues, how on earth is that fair? - its not.

i actually fnd it funny how many of you claim you'd say you were british yet you're slagging off part of britain? i don't believe it. if anyone would ask you in a real situation i reckon you would say you were english and i don't think there's anything wrong in that but i'm guessing I'M the wrong one here because you and others will deny it (let's be honest there's more english people here than scottish, i know literally nothing about politics/economy/countries/history but i'm not a ******)

also i might be wrong but isn't nationality your COUNTRY of birth? i was born and raised in scotland and i'm therefore scottish, yeah i'm british too but first i'm scottish and proud so.... pretty sure you're proud of being english as you've already proved with your "scotland needs england" :rolleyes:

Oh course it doesn't, the MPs across the country are out of touch. The Scottish people aren't ripping everyone off, its the SNP and the Labour Party who are - and thats what i'm saying, when we see Scottish people moaning about 'England gets this, England gets that' - it winds people up. The United Kingdom (Britain) is a sovereign state, I was born in the United Kingdom and so were you. I am not slating normal Scottish people, I am slating the ones who moan constantly about the Union and the English. On pretty sure, yeah of course I am proud of English history. However I believe in our history our glory days so to speak came from the Union, hence why I refer to myself as British.
