i actually love this post, i really doEating together was something we ALWAYS did as a family even when my parents were together. Because it's just me and mom now we eat together when we can and mom always makes an effort for all of us to eat together at least once when everyone is home. My relationship with my mom is awesome, my relationship with my dad leaves a little bit to be desired. My dad tries to be my friend and he is a really nice guy but it's just hard because I don't see him very often and I'm more attached to my mom. My parents split and my mom had sole custody of us because my dad moved home. My mom provided us with a great life, it was a little tough in the beginning because my mom was left with a lot of debt from my dad and from the divorce but she ALWAYS made the best of it and she always told us that if we could get through the hard times our lives would be a whole lot better, she didn't disappoint. My mom is probably my best friend, I spent a lot of time with her when I was younger because my brothers would be out doing stuff and she couldn't afford to have somebody to watch me. When my mom would do a showing I would wait in the car... sometimes it would take hours but I always knew it would somehow make our lives better so I didn't complain. Don't get me wrong, the first year was tough and looking back, I know we struggled but mom never made it apparent to us. My mom began working a lot, like she would work from 8 in the morning until 10 o'clock at night sometimes.. my brothers would be out doing stuff because nobody was there to say no.. I learned how to take care of myself because it was better than sitting in an office or waiting in a car,my brothers would call me "Matilda" because I cooked and cleanedIt doesn't sound like the ideal life, but my mom eventually became a broker and she had a lot more free time because she had a lot of people working for her (eventually I became one of them). My mom provided a great life for us, just like she promised.. call me a mama's boy, I don't care, I have a lot of respect for my mother.
