Nice to see what other people have to say about this.

Undertaker you have some good points in your first post and you are also right about the whole homophobia thing which get's thrown around too easily.

The statistics are also not very valid or reliable at all. It's nearly 40% of the people who voted in the poll, 162 people voted in the poll and the poll was made in January 2010. So I still think that 162 users represents a large majority of the current active users considering a 8:30pm on a saturday night (now) which I am assuming is a busy time for the forum if that makes sense, there are just 70 members online.

That's 162 over a very long period of time and in a day many 100s visit Habbox. You did not reply to my previous post as to why you actually found it necessary to point out this because it's just a fact of life these days for society to just accept people's sexuality for what it is. It is not as if they can be anything else - they are born with it.

@ Dan - I thought you were all for civil liberties and then don't like Gay festivals etc. What would you do about them if you were in Government? It's like in another thread where you feel that minority white areas are wrong. Do you think minority black areas are wrong too?

Well that's the problem, some or should I say a lot of people in todays society do not accept it. The reason I have pointed it out was because I was pretty astonished at how many people in that poll were gay/homosexual, if someone said to me "Ok we have visited a random forum and created a poll which asks the users sexuality, we left the poll on a sticky for 7 months and the results are 40% gay/homo 60% straight, what type of forum do you think it was?" I'd probably guess something like a clothes fashion forum or a hairdressers forum, you'd obviously be trying to think of something that involves a lot of gay people. It's just crazy to say that it is a fact of life, yes gays and homos are going to be a fact of life but not on a scale like that. So is this what the next generation of people are going to be like then, nearly half of us gay?

Well I guess if you took the survey at face value, maybe but it has been there a very long time so really can't be relied upon at all. Also if half the population in the future are born gay - yes that's going to happen but otherwise it isn't. That really isn't likely to happen is it? Kinda illogical statement.

I don't believe you are born gay, all indicators point towards it being a social thing. This is why we have seen a growth in homosexuality over the past few decades because of a change in society making Britain a very different place. However I think 40% is un-realistically high, I'd say it's around 10% or possibly up to 20% at most. However if it was 40% then I don't necessarily think that it would be a bad thing.

I seriously think that to be to gay ie attracted to the same sex has to be inbuilt in you from the time you are born. I possibly might agree with the Bi-sexual element as it seems to have become 'more fashionable' to say you experiment with both sexes.
