Don't cut out your favourite foods, just limit them, you're more likely to succeed that way.
I recommend you cut out carbohydrates and eat healthily, I've been doing so for the last 5 days and already lost 4 pounds.

    What I ate today

    - Breakfast: Scrambled egg, 2 tomatoes and some bacon.

    - Lunch: Salad; Turkey slices, tomato, cucumber, lettace and feta cheese and a low fat yogurt.

    - Dinner: Chicken Breast with the same salad I had at lunch but with peppers.

    - Snacks: Banana and apple.

Eating three filling, healthy meals a day will keep your body satisfied, I find that it also stops me from eating any food nasties.

    -------------------------------

Sazzle, why would you eat everything your body wants? You body needs food, it's your mind that feels the want.
I'd like to have a tub of ice-cream for dinner, and kit-kats for breakfast, but I don't, because I know that's not what my body needs, it's what my mind wants.
Also, it is possible to just diet and lose weight, I go to the gym 3-4 times and week for an hour, but my mum is doing the same diet and still seeing results.
Yes, give yourself a treat, but don't eat chocolate bars all the time because you want them.

    Practice what your preach Sazzle.
Err, I didn't say there was not such thing as a metabolism..I said theres no such thing as a low/high metabolism. I also didn't say it was impossible to loose weight without exercising I said, "the only reliable way to loose weight is to exercise and go to the gym" if someone goes to the gym often to burn it off 9/10 times it will work, therefore its reliable. Not exercising when dieting is not reliable, yet it can still work. I never stated it couldn't?? Please correct me if I did.
    Practice your reading Pulchritudinous.
I read this book about loosing weight, kinda like those mind ones to help quit smoking. It makes a lot of sense. And yes it's your mind which controls what your body eats, so you've got to train your mind.
I've never had a weight issue so I wouldnt know how to diet. I've been brought up in an environment where my mum makes me eat healthy foods (which I don;t mind) and I've got an interest in sport from my dad, which I do regulary. So, if people don't beleive what I preach then fair enough, I don't really care.

Metabolism's vary, it's a fact, you don't have to agree with it, but it's a fact.

Most dieters think they can just eat healthy and thats it, but really the only successful way is to burn it off
The way you worded it made it seem like you were saying exercise is the only way to see changes in your weight.
Of course exercise will aid the dieting process, and the chances of weight loss are higher, but dieting and exercise alone are both reliable.

I play soccer, my dad is a bit of a health freek food wise, so my lifestyle is simular to your own, I don't have a weight problem either.
So why would I disagree with you? Well, I didn't like how you advised people to skip meals or eat what they want when they want, if healthy eating was enforced in your home, you wouldn't skip meals and so on.
Speak what you know, if you'd said 'Take an interest in a sport, get involved in a local team, eat healthily..bla bla bla', there would have been nothing to fault with that.

I am not THE ONLY ONE who doesn't so this I was cleary saying IT DOES MAKE YOU LOST WEIGHT. 100%

    END OF THIS.

    I'll ditto that..

All i'll say is that it works, but can have dyer concequences.

You've twisted what I said. I did say earlier, it's not healthy for someone to skip a meal for the sake of it. I said that if your not hungry don't feel that you have to eat the meal. Like sometimes I won't have my tea if I'm not hungry. I don't see the point in eating it if I'm not hungry or full.

Don't be so hostile, I have better things to do than twist your words or whatever.
Skipping a meal isn't good advice, regardless of the reasoning behind it.

Just try eating healthy and doing more exercise. Cut down on all the junk food too. Good luck.

Hm.. what I think is; if your hungry.. eat. If you're not, don't eat. And when you do eat, eat healthily.. yeah, i kinda agree with 'whats the point in eating if your not hungry?' if I'm not hungry and I try to eat it just makes me feel like I wanna puke >_>

Go to your local gym it's usually cheap and it's a fun way of getting fit and toned.
