If it was in a wallet, and I could contact the person who lost it - I reckon I would probably give it back. But really, its a grand - and if its just there, of course you are gonna keep it. Nothing to say the police are gonna do the right thing, they're only human too - and like normal people, greedy.

You can usually tell if it is fake or not. Besides aren't the bank going to get a little suspicious when you go in with a grand and say "is this real?". They might threaten to report you to the police if you do not hand the money in, that's if there is a law saying you have to, idk!
