Lastly, not only is less fat eaten now, but more polyunsaturated fat is eaten now -compared to any point in the history of humankind - whereas the amount of saturated fat being consumed now is far lower. Your teachers at school/college/god forbid university are quite literally just spouting the curriculum regardless of whether they agree with it or not.

Although it has been proven fast pace walking is more likely to promote more weight loss anyway so fast walking compared with running however many marathons ??? I wasn't saying anything about hard exercise at all just doing something rather than sitting in front of the tv...

    Yes i know triglycerides are in ever type of fat and that is what they are made out of... it is the type of triglyceride, fatty acid which it contains is what makes it better or worse for you.

    How did i indicate that saturated fats were unnatural when i said they are found in fatty meats ?? huh ?? Unsure how we eat less saturated fats now ?? The amount of takeaways the UK and other countries eat surely means an increase ??

    What makes you an expert on the subject ??

    Fats are not made of triglycerides, triglycerides are an ester, composed of one molecule of glycerol and 3 fatty acids. The carboxyl groups on the fats bond to the hydroxyl groups on the glycerol.

    You're unsure on how we eat less saturated fat now becayse the amount of takeaways eaten has increased? Are you being serious?! I trust you don't need me to point out how fallacious that is. I can't even be arsed to link a facepalm.jpeg. Simply put; No. saturated fat intake is way, way down. Takeaways are full of polyunsaturates now.

    I don't claim to be an expert on the subject, but I have more than just a passing acquaintance with it.

    I think you mean most of it. And I fail to see how pointing out how idiotic it is to think that sat. fat consumption was on the increase because people eat takeaways is stuck up. I thought that you would resort to personal attack sooner than this, so I'll have to thank you for that.

    The thing I take issue with is that you spread this misinformation like gospel, you should really make sure you have evidence to back up claims you make before you tell people to do things that could end up making them worse off.
