I don't see this how this is anything to do with maturity or anything but if we have a 18+ section in the forum it might as well be a porn forum instead of a habbo forum that it is.

That's just looking at a small fraction of the pond, if it was 18+ obviously stuff that management consider 18+ content could be displayed. I'd personally use it for posting videos which I'd get hung for posting in the regular spam forum, like posting a video that contains more than 4 swear words, I know crazy stuff.

I get where you're coming from Richie and I know its annoying and stuff but you can post videos with swearing in it as long as there's a warning and a spoiler with it, its not that hard to add them

That shouldn't be your problem though, if children are lying about their age obviously it's their parents that need to protect them not you. Children go on youtube and lie about their age but it isn't youtubes fault if they watch content that is 18+ it's their parents for allowing them to use the websites unsupervised.

If users want to discuss about drugs/sex and other stuff that most teens do then there is already a sub-forum for that but it's moderated to keep it at a mature level and nothing too explicit is posted. The 18+ forum would also not have any benefits for the users what so ever and would just cause more problems than good. Every member should freely post anywhere on the forums (apart from staff forums if they aren't am ember of staff for that department) as long as it's not breaking the forum rules and regardless of their age. There is no need to start limiting a X amount of users due to their age.

That's your excuse for everything "Be mature, You can use better English words to phrase your posts" that is a load of my lefty, wake up and see reality. I laugh at stupid things and yes I am immature but its far less boring than being a bloody adult. The majority of the people that use this forum are immature get that into your head, we aren't all like you.

My point being not maturity levels but how we speak to one another, you may see it as immature but from where I live it's perfectly normal for my age. (Obviously not everything i say as allot of its a load of me hoop)

The way you grew up isn't necessarily the same way everyone grew up. The general consensus is that talking about sex in detail, insulting people in a sexual nature, is vile and/or vulgar. You wouldn't participate in a discussion with people you don't or hardly know in real life and tell them to:

And that's exactly the sort of content which would go viral in the spam section if talking about sex was allowed. We are not embedding a restriction which impairs how you communicate with others, or even one that is that causes a nuisance 99/100 times you go to make a post. This isn't an adult or sexual oriented forum and so it's not appropriate to allow discussions to include (especially insults) posts to do with described acts of sex.

Not a horrible idea with regards to the 18+ forum but it would just be too difficult to manage. Also, unfair to set such a blatant and visible age necessary to take part in "mature discussion" which would most definitely just end up discouraging and belittling younger members from using the forum. To add, the majority of members aren't over 18 so such a forum would mostly be dead, and going back to it being difficult to manage it would be nigh on impossible to catch someone in a lie trying to gain access.

The thing is Shar even small things get picked up on, I don't understand why videos can say **** once but not 7 times. Even with a warning that would be removed and trying to find some rap / r&b songs without swearing can be a difficult task. I suppose that's for another discussion.

I sort of agree but we wouldn't need an additional forum if things were removed when they genuinely started going gory / in depth. I can't remember everything ryan said last night but what I remember none of it was too far in depth but I suppose your view of in depth is different to mine, the odd mention of a fanny is fine for me and of the fingers in a cookie jar.

Because with activity as low as it is at the moment what we really need to do is divide the forum communities up more, right?

I think the point of an older forum would be for us older members to be able to talk about anything we want, and have freedom of speech on the forum (Hell this isn't china?) I think in recent times older members have been getting more and more annoyed at how strict the forum has become (Or is that just me?) It seems now you cant say anything, not even shut up or anything without getting told off for it?

Make it so its an older forum, that does not have the word filter on it, and don't allow sexually explicit content, just allow maybe talking about personal issues if the user wants to, Nobody says you have to go to the catergory.
