If it's real love then it doesn't carry those things with it

I disagree, I think all relationships are about going through the ups and the downs of life but the difference between real love is that you carry the baggage together and come out the other side stronger. I think love = happiness is just as bad an idea as money = happiness, in fact possibly more so as love means you have to rely on someone else to be happy and so people strive for this ideal fantasy of what love is.

Not all relationships have downs, it can be very true that love=happiness.

To be honest I don't think that's a question that people can answer properly. If whatever you chose, you had to live with..then I'm pretty sure most people would be confused with the decision they have to make, or regret whatever they chose. I really can't choose between either of them. If my job was something I loved then of course I want to get ahead in it, but if losing love was the cost, is it really worth it. It's a hard question to give a proper answer to, so I'm unable to provide one.

It's an interesting one. I value love more than I value money but I'd want to be at decent place, basically built my life up before committing to anyone. So I think I'd say career.

Love no matter what point of my career. Not to sound too mushy, but if you plan on spending your life with someone you love, then you should, no matter where careers lead to, or take you, you make it work
