Obviously windows 7 is young so I don't want them to just ignore it but I don't find windows 8 has any big things feature wise that I can't do on 7
I wouldn't expect any modern operating system to work to be honest. Yeah XP worked but I find 7 just a hell of a lot better in terms of performance and features. I'm not suggesting anyone to upgrade to Windows 8 straight away from 7 but if people are still using XP then It's time to think about upgrading.

I like Windows 7, I don't see any reason to upgrade.

I'm having to use Vista right this minute until my new PSU comes tomorrow, my god. It's making me miss Windows 7 a lot. Especially for the snap feature which I use so much.

I'm planning on buying a laptop sometime soon so I will probably get one with W8. Looks alright but I'm not bothered really.

Looking at some random laptops with windows 8 it's not that much really. There are laptops out there for £350 with Windows 8. I need to pick a laptop though and that is hard with my knowledge :-) Will have to make a thread asking for suggestions or something so I get something decent.

Well when Windows 7 came out I found (maybe I was just looking in the wrong place) that it was cheaper to find a laptop with XP with similar specs to one of W7.
